The Lower Brushy Creek Water Control and Improvement District is asking for public input for proposed rehabilitation of floodwater retarding structures No. 25 and 29 of the Upper Brushy Creek Watershed, Williamson County, Texas.
The Lower Brushy Creek WCID, local sponsors of this Watershed, and the United States Department of Agriculture-Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS) developed Supplemental Watershed Plans and Environmental Assessments for the rehabilitation needs of Floodwater Retarding Structure Nos. 25 and 29.
These projects are part of the Small Watershed Rehabilitation Amendments of 2000 (Section 313, PL 106-472). This legislation authorized the USDA-NRCS to work with local community leaders and watershed sponsors to rehabilitate aging watershed dams built under Public Law 78-534, Public Law 83-566, and the Pilot Watershed programs.
You will find thee proposal for Site 25 here, and the proposal for Site 29 here.
