From the Preamble to the Texas Public Information Act:

The people, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants the right to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to know. The people insist on remaining informed so that they may retain control over the instruments they have created.

The Board of Directors and the Staff of the Lower Brushy Creek Water Control and Improvement District pledge to observe the letter and spirit of Texas Public Information and truth in taxation laws.

Much of this is also posted elsewhere on this website but but we have gathered this critical public information in one place to make it easy for taxpayers to learn about this agency.
