Directors for the Lower Brushy Creek WCID will hold a public hearing on its proposed tax rate and 2024 budget at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11 in the conference room of the Greater Chamber of Commerce.
The second and final readings of the budget and tax order will be conducted following the public hearing.
The proposed tax rate is 1.6265-cents per $100 of property valuation, down 6.4% from the current rate of 1.7374-cents.
If approved, the tax levy will support a proposed budget of $1,148,250 against $1,168,000 in anticipated revenues.
