The Directors of the Lower Brushy Creek WCID will meet 7:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11 to consider a variety of issues related to the FY 2024 budget.

The proposed tax rate is 1.67-cents per $100 valuation, a 6% rate decrease from the previous year. The tax levy is expected to raise $825,000 and support a budget of $1.148 million. The majority of the budget, approximately $900,000, is dedicated to dam maintenance, repairs, rehab and engineering.

Annual contracts with Ancira Consulting (lobbying) and RTS Connect (communications, website maintenance) and K. Friese & Assoc. (engineering) will also be considered during the meeting.

Finally, Directors are expected to hold an executive session to consider easements and land values associated with the upgrade to Site 18.

You can find a copy of the agenda, which includes information on the budget, here.

The meeting is open to the public.
